i tried the bridge connection, no go my router does not have the option to change, setup the DMZ and tried again, got 2 full games in and got slightly pleased, then next map due to load and it hangs again.

im not sure what to do now, i could email ea but prob not get an answer, is a format of ps3 worth a try ? ive already deleted all bfbc2 data and re installed so a format prob wont help at all come to think of it.

What router do u have?

Tough choice, but if you feel up for it, I would say it’s worth a try, to format your ps3. It seems aksur had exact the same problem, played couple of rounds, and got disconnected from my point of view when the game ended, but he probably got jammed on the loading screen. It’s sucky job I know…

I think you should try to format your ps3. I was some kind of violet part in my bf2 installation files and thats why it hangs after one or two games. I tried to reinstall game but it didnt work coz that violet was in hard drive partition where game was installed. But when i formated it and reinstall game it works fine.

Its a hard job i have 160gb hard drive and it takes a long time to do but it worth it. Few beers and couple of...hmmm... or maybe triple of vodka drinks and it happens like it self

well i tried on my highpingdrifter account and had a frustrating 4 or 5 hard locks, then managed to load panama canal and some other snow map cant remember the name, i would like to believe its a net issue but the hard drive and disc drive thrashing away suggests otherwise.
incidentally the last map i played u,oldy and okram were in was it a slide show at times ?
for spells i was running then out of the blue 50 metres forward out of nowhere.

anyway i think im gonna back up any saves i need and do the format, i like the game but its so frustrating only getting to play maybe 25 mins at a time, im never gonna stop sucking at it unless i get a good few hours play time.

wait, do you get disconnected in all games, or bfbc2 only? when we first got wireless we got a router and a new modem, and our internet kept on turning off every 25-30 minutes or so for about a minute. turned out that the modem already had wireless already in it, and once we took away the router, the internet worked fine

I really hope u get it sorted. I kno many would have given up by now, but keep fighting even if its a pain in the ass. Its werid since I can hear your voice and see your gametag in game, but you're never able to get past that loading screen. Have u tried Vietnam btw? same thing there? If u dont have it then go DL it from my maiske acc and see if it works.

Ohh and that game u mentioned, mine worked fine. I've only had lag on very few occasions, and usually the lag is minimal. Usually if the server is laggy for all, the server crashes and everybody gets kicked out = rare.

well i spent another £7.99 for vip pass on my highping acc so im gonna keep trying and yeah thanks i will snag vietnam and see if that plays, its weird because panama canal loads everytime and plays fine anything else just fails.

formatted , damn thing took 8 hrs so i went to the pub , anyway no joy same problem but i forgot i had media server still on so i need to try it with that off......
failing that im gonna take disc back to shop it was preowned (yes i was feeling tight) and see if i can pick up a new copy, if that doesnt work its quit time, thats game bought twice and another vip pass from psn store also bought.

also dunno how much help i will be to your k/d cause i suck at this game anyway, im hoping with a few hrs continuos play time i can relax with it instead of waiting for a crash.

Did your first copy have exactly the same problem?

Spooshy had a weird bfbc2 issue, he couldn’t for some reason buy any add ins to the game, including Vietnam. He tested reinstalling, formatting everything, nothing helped. Having to deal with the problem, he finally sorted it out with EA’s technical help. The reason was he had bought an other countries version of the game, and to which u couldnt download updates from eu store. Now he bought the game a second time, and now everything works.

this story isn’t helping you at all I know, but what im trying to say, is that it wouldn’t hurt to call to ea, maybe they will have a direct answer to your problem. Technically it shouldn’t be a router problem, because some maps loads to you fine, right? I have media server on, no crashing, but everything is worth a test…

Anyhow, it seems this will be your most expensive game ;D

it appears any dlc has issues also some of the inbox maps have problems too, the only thing that always works is conquest on panama canal, not exactly a total game experience.

im spending time now browsing ea forums for clues and will look into dlc and software numbers to see if that is the problem
