I had fun playing rush yesterday, though we lost quite many games and I didn’t have my best day. Our Squad was the top squad in many games, thanks to Maiske who sure knows how to collect points playing as the medic. It was interesting to see where we lacked in skills and teamwork, and where it went well. This was the first time we played together as four friends.

At some point, when everything seemed to go wrong, I changed my kit to recon with shotgun for close combat. I started to throw censor balls so that everyone see’s the enemy locations and direction where they are facing. I think this works great when you’re defending and in narrow places. U just need an assault friend who can give u those extra amo packs so that u don’t run out of censor balls. Sadly, couple of enemy’s soldiers did eventually get past our defence line and we lost that match as well

Another event that crossed my mind: we were attacking at the desert map, in the bridge section, we didn’t get properly past enemy’s defending line and caught in cross fire and lost unnecessary recourses. One of us should have with the assault class (mainly me coz I was playing as assault) launch couple of smoke bombs, and then just run, past the bridge, for cover and for regrouping, and continue with the attack with the whole squad simultaneously. In many places our Squad attacked as two groups in different direction, which ended in massacre and we had to start from the beginning..

Anyway, it was fun, I think we played over 4 hours, to 2 am

Yesterday the only good game was the dark wintermap where we won as attackers. Don't remeber other positive games, but it doesn't matter, I want to evolve and crush those bastards Rush is so much harder than conquest.

I think we should strive to build up 2 functioning squads with different missions. One more aggressive squad with assaults & medics, then another one with mainly Recon & Engie (depending on map and gamemode). Rush would be optimal for using Recons in Attack as in defense, im not too fond of playing Recon is conquest (more like deathmatch) games, where the maps are smaller in general and strong attacks/counter attacks are necessary for capping points and securing the area around the CP. A squadful of Recons would take a serious beating in that case. 1 Recon is enough to scout the environment further ahead and defending the captured base.

Alternative suggestion
Back row: Recon / Assault
Front row: Medic / Engineer.

Recons sensor balls are a big help but they only have two of them. If they find a good sniping place, they can actually run out of amo too. In both cases they need those amo packs from the assaults. Assaults role could be in the middle of these two squads. Aid medic & engineers but help recons also if they get in trouble and occasionally drop amo packs. The gun is good for long distance and short. U can shoot grenade launcher or smoke to long distances as well.

Engineers light machinegun is what I think the most effective gun in close combat. In front you tend to die more so quick revive by medics helps a lot in tight situation not to mention medic packs for healing. Medics don’t have anything against tanks so they need the strongest class against vehicles beside them.
