i just thought of a perfect "new" mode for bf3. it comes from my old favourite game C&C Renegade, so if anyone here has played this they kinda know where im going here, but if not then prepare to read this lengthy post
so basically there would be 2 bases, a russian one and an american one, each base has several buildings and each one has a certain purpose and once it is destroyed the faction looses that building's function and becomes disadvantaged. the purpose is to destroy all the other team's buildings, either by placing a bomb inside the building, or by bringing it to the ground. engineers can also repair the buildings.
so everything would revolve around a currency system, where xp=currency, so every kill gives you 100 points to spend. you can go in any building to a panel on the wall and buy a vehicle, upgrade your vehicle or buy upgrades for your solider. in this mode any unlocks you get for your soldier or tank cant be used until you buy them. each class would have a basic loadout and each vehicle would have no perks. and every time you die or your vehicle is destroyed you start from scratch but keep your credits
so there are 5 different buildings for each base. but you can buy things from any building
the automated defenses: things like sam sites and automated turrets that keep air vehicles and tanks from just rolling in your base if there's no one there. there would also be things like mg's and tow missiles for soldiers to shoot. obviously once the defenses are destroyed the other team can just walk into the base.
power generator: powers the automated defenses and other buildings. if destroyed then the automated defenses dont work and the other buildings dont function as well.
barracks: lets you buy upgrades for your soldier, if destroyed, then you can only buy better weapons up to a certain one and you cant get perks for your soldier
air strip: lets you buy tanks and jets and get upgrades for them. to destroy it there will be a small control tower that you can shoot down. there will also be a new artillery tank that has a powerful gun but has little armour and is slow, so its good to destroy other buildings. once the air strip is destroyed then the small jeeps will start spawning in the base and you wont be able to buy other vehicles.
command center: it gives you a slow constant stream of currency(that doesnt count as xp), even if youre not killing the enemy. if your team is destroys a building of the other team then you get a little boost of currency, and if youre getting owned, then every now and then you get a boost of currency to try and turn the game around. once destroyed, then you only get money from regular bf scoring (so healing killing destroying etc.) and once a building is destroyed you cant bring it back
i played this mode for a long time in C&C Renegade and it was a lot of fun and i think bf is the perfect game to bring it back
