For me it's the same if this gonna be or not, PS2 games is the past. Seriously, who would want to play old ps2 games on the ps3 anyways? Besides my slim ps2 is still alive ^^ Slim ps3 would be great though.

I remembered this old video: sony’s previous attempt at backward compatibility Other point of view. If they get the backward compatibility to really work with nice upscaling to 1080p then I guess this would be an ok thing. Started to think if my son wants to experience of the many great ps2 games when he gets older and if my slim ps2 bites the dust, then it would be ps3 to the rescue. I have 30 or so ps2 games  |

well there are some ps2 games i would like to play but i dont want another console wedged in the living room somewhere so i would like.

I remember back when I bought my ps2 you could play your old ps one games on that one too soo ooohhh that's interesting !

ppfffttt, i got ff7 and hercules from ps store so i is not interested in any negativitay, its comes out i wanna play gradius 5 on my big ass plasma.
that game wants me to love it again
PS have the origional gradius in an arcade cab in my garage WOOT

Come to think of Gradius. I used to play 2D space games with my Amiga 500 and in arcade house’s back in the days. On ps1 I played Colony Wars and G-Police. On ps2 I replaced my space game need with Zone of the Enders 1 & 2 Now with this generation, there is nothing to buy. I bought Super Stardust HD from store which is cool but I’m still waiting for something bigger. A new Colony Wars HD would be nice  is genre dying out? |
