after two days of partying and playing Guitar Hero at our summer place in the countryside. We were celebrating my friends birthday.
The problem is that it doesn’t accept games inside; the disc gets halfway but stops there. I pushed a disc inside by force and now the system has a rock n roll christmas music cd stuck inside and it doesn’t come out.
I noticed also that the fifth button on my guitar hero guitar doesn’t work either. This is killing me!!
My PS3 doesn’t have any guaranty so I guess I will try to de-assemble it to atoms and try to get it to work from that. Wish me luck.

Thanks everyone. The ps3 surgery will happen tonight. If I don’t get it fixed, I can still use my ps3 as a Playstation Store game console……… kewl!(NOT!!)
If I fuck this up totally, like I will not get the pieces back together, I will need an extra 299€ for a new PS3 slim, and that will bring havoc in my family.
I’m not confident that this will end up for the better.

I got it working again  Thanks to Signes hints I didn’t take the sledge hammer right away. The most useful video was this though www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzhzNfSZ1ZY&feature=related I love youtube. The Christmas cd caused a mess in my bluray station. No wonder it didn’t come out. I’m not sure why my ps3 didn’t get the discs to go in in the first place (it just scrambled) or how it did get to that state. I guess the parts that pulls the disc in place was in some wrong position. Anyways this saved my day. I know my ps3 will die on me someday but I hope it takes longer than 1 year and 5 months. |

I got my Guitar Hero guitar replaced for a new one through guaranty, and my ps3 was fixed so all was well… until ….… MY GUITAR broke again. I hate these bloody toys, didn’t last even five days. Now the guitars “string” is wrecked. It acts like its being pressed down and I’m not even touching it, and it doesn’t have the click sound anymore arrrrgh!!! I’m so fed up!!

my guitar is still working after a year, and the other 1 its practically new never play with it (i got 2 guitars)^^

Maybe I'm too rough then, though this is the first time when this happens. I was playing enter sandman multiple times (trying to achieve a trophy) when it broke down. I will try to get it replaced again tomorrow though  I still think the guitar was faulty, or atleast that's what I'm goin to tell the salesman |

I would probably buy drums if I had an extra room dedicated only for gaming. My wife will go medieval if I place a drum set in middle of the living room.
Speaking of buying, I bought yesterday the Logitech G25 steering wheel because of the hopes that Gran Turismo will arrive at Christmas. Today they announced at Tokyo game show that it will be released on mars!!“#%&&¤ Duh! That’s 6 months!! What am I suppose to do with the wheel now? Maybe I should buy Dirt2 though I don’t like the thing that it is based on American car show than WCR. Or then I will return the wheel and next year before GT see if the G27 steering wheel will be any cheaper. Decisions decisions…
