God Of War 3

I never played the earlier ones, for what reason I dunno, prolly cuz I never bothered to take a deeper look in what GoW had to offer. I only paid attention to the hack 'n slash part of GoW, kill and kill some more, and plain straightforward action games didn't interest me too much back then. Now that I look more closely on GoW 1 & 2, and especially the collection box for PS3, I really wanna smash some buttons and solve some puzzles as Kratos, the bad ass ex Spartan warrior.

Anyone here who'd be familiar with the GoW series and would like to share some thoughts/opinions of how spectacular the game series really is?

played the demo yesterday looked awesome better than darksiders or dantes inferno though maybe a must-buy?

I couldn't get past the minotaur - lion - scorpion tail - thingy on the demo. It just didn't die. I probably need to do something else than just slash the thing but couldnt tell what.

i know what... when u the tail is away u have to attack the opponent from the back where the tail was before u can see that the beast is injured there go for it now

Block & attack. Keep repeating this. That worked for me.

xD my tactics is much better ^_^ oh and use the bow it is very useful when u use it right
PS: will gow3 be playable online?

And when u beat the creature enough a big red circle icon appears on top of it, then press circle and follow the button sequence.

got the circle hundreds of times but didnt understand to press the circle. Ok ill give it another try.

God of War is just THE SHIT !!
I played the first 2 and since ya liked darksiders and the story and such then ya will just LOOOVVVVEEE GOW !
The first 2 were just the best hack and slash (lil puzzle) games I ever played !!
loved the action, loved the story line with the greek gods and stuff and the music gets ya going all along with it .

Can't wait to play GOW 3 !!! Dunno if I'll buy it myself tough, my friend is so hooked up on it to he always buys them and I play them a lil bit later on
But for those that doesn't have such a friend and love a good bloody game : go buy it asap when it's out !

for my part i really don't like to play at the demo,,, maybe cos i can change the sense of the video game play...
i love to watch around how is the decor and here u can not see anything execpt the action,,,,
it's not a game for me so try the demo maybe u will not love it like me or u will love like foxie,,,,

Thanks Fox, im feeling like a lill kid here waiting for x-mas, it seems like GoW3's highly anticipated by many PS3 owners out there.

Johnnyboy, yeah I got u. U feel that the action takes the main part of the game, not leaving much time to concentrate on the graphical design and details in battles.Not enough free roaming & exploring perhaps? I agree to an extent yeah, its hard to follow the bloody happenings on screen when u try to focus on completing a button combo, thus u miss most of the cool action while concentrating on hitting the right buttons.

ok ok, I see johnys point , but still, ya kinda get an idea of the graphix and especially how fluent the gameplay is, only negative thing in the demo was the camera now and then , but maybe in game it's better or it's just a mather of getting used to it

but the end of that demo is just like ooohhhhhhhhh I want MORE and I want it NOW !

the way ya can kill those 3 beasts, rip the head of => I'M LOVING IT BIGTIME !!!

xD i love the normal oppoent just grap em with the circle and then the nice green button on ur controller and many blood will be on ur screen ^_^

It'll be interesting to see the final outcome when the game hits the markets, as the demo's nearly a year old & the developers seem to have worked on the graphical design, effects, gameplay and outlook even further.

The camera was a bit twitchy at some points yeah, due to the very straightforward nature of the game some sorta manual cameracontrol would be a nice addition, or perhaps I missed a button.
